Vor dem Hintergrund der sich rasch entwickelnden technischen Gegebenheiten moderner radiologischer Verfahren soll in dieser Fortbildung durch ein interdisziplinäres Rednertableau die Grenzen und die Möglichkeiten der zahnärztlichen Bildgebung aufgezeigt werden. 

Die Fortbildung ist so konzipiert, dass zu Beginn die derzeitigen Goldstandards in der klinischen zahnärztlichen Bildgebung aufgezeigt (Dr. Dagassan-Berndt und Prof. Dr. Schulze) und daraufhin von radiologischer Seite neue Erkenntnisse aus der Forschung und Ihre Implementation in der Klinik erläutert werden (PD Dr. mult. Egon Burian und Prof. Dr. Tim Hilgenfeld) . Dann erfolgt der Übergang zu dem Themenkomplex der Kieferorthopädie und der Bildgebung der CMD (Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Vogl). Der Nachmittag wird dann von Herrn Prof. Dr. Dr. Folwaczny eingeleitet und es geht um die Bildgebung der Parondontitis und der klinischen Detektion von Entzündungsfoci. Darauf werden von Frau PD Dr. Probst neue Erkenntnisse aus der Forschung zum Einsatz der MRI in der Parodontologie präsentiert. Zum Abschluss werden Prof. Dr. Dr. Probst und Prof. Dr. mult. Thieringer chirurgische Anwendungsgebiete der präoperativen MRI aufgezeigt.

This 4-day evidence-based foundation course is designed for clinicians with an interest in the field of implant dentistry. This course presents evidence-based treatment concepts for the rehabilitation of fully and partially edentulous patients. Besides lectures, the participants will see several live surgeries observing how dental implants are placed, bone augmentation performed and biologic complications or soft tissue defects are treated. In addition, the course offers the opportunity of workshops in treatment planning, digital workflows, surgical periodontal and prosthetic treatment concepts. The course involves lectures presenting the underlying principles for treatment solutions and fully documented clinical cases. Several live surgeries demonstrate the placement of dental implants, bone augmentations and the treatment of biologic complications or soft tissue defects. In addition, small-group training in treatment planning, digital workflows, surgical, periodontal and prosthetic is provided in hands-on workshops.

The course is aimed at Swiss dentists who wish to acquire specific knowledge in the management of dental therapy for sleep disorders, in particular obstructive sleep apnea in adults. Experts in the field will discuss the diagnosis and treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, providing an essential foundation for dentists wishing to acquire specific skills in the management of mandibular advancement devices.
